Christmas celebration 1- we got to stop at my parents’ to see Lila, Char, Aunt Melissa, and Uncle AJ, who were visiting NY. We exchanged gifts, had some lunch, and the kids had quite a time for themselves making prank phone calls.
Christmas Day. It’s just so special. The kids were up super late because they were excited. They were up super early for the same reason. I’d say it was a really great day. Everyone got amazing gifts and the kids played the day away. Grandma and Grandpa stopped by in the afternoon to exchange gifts and visit. Santa was good over here. The funny thing; out of all the gifts they got, Shea was instantly inseparable from his nightlight gummy bear… out of all the things. Go figure.
Celebration 2- on our way back from Dyker Heights in Brooklyn, we stopped at my parents’ for a delicious Christmas dinner. It was late but it was yummy and fun. The kids also had a few more gifts to open too.
The season is officially at its end. It’s always hard to wrap my head around how much goes into one day that goes by in a blink but the memories and the huge smiles that come from that day make it more than worth it. I’d do it everyday. So we spent one night, a tradition Cole reminded me, sleeping under the tree before officially wrapping up the Christmas of 2021. 🎄💚🎄💚
It was nice to see everyone having a good time. I think Summer had the best time wading through the gifts.
Lots of good times. Loved it.
