Date 7: Polar Express. The North Pole was extra far away this year.
Date 7: Polar Express. There was some traffic heading to the North Pole this year. By the time we got back, every restaurant was closed. We ended up eating Taco Bell in the parking lot at 9:30pm. Memories at their finest.
Date 8: Light show numero dos. Aka mama had to work so the kids came too.
Date 9: visiting the real Santa. He’s simply the best. And Shea loves watching the trains too.
*Date 10: NYC at Christmas time. It’s just the best. It’s also just so different but that’s ok for now. We really embraced the outdoors here and tried to dodge the prime times. We saw a bunch of the trees, ate a bunch of the food, walked more than a bunch, and had more than a bunch of fun too. * we also found the Giving Machine again and the kids each chose a cause or foundation to donate to.
Date 11: Gingerbread University is back! New location and some new precautions but also some new candy and decorations.
Date 12: ice skating (boys only edition). It is soooo not my thing and thankfully it’s only their thing for 1/2 hour tops. Date 13: Dyker Heights. THE place to see the craziest houses and their crazy light displays. I read that some pay upward of $200k for their light displays. Far beyond my understanding but it sure is pretty!
Wow, what fantastic memories they are going to have.
