Intermediate school

This chapter has been challenging for sure. Coley is facing the struggles of navigating the new freedoms that come with this time in all senses; responsibility, friendships, and balance. He also has shown such growth, strength, and determination. He has made me so proud with trying new things. Cole tried out for the school play and got a role. He did such an amazing job at the performances! It was just the coolest thing to watch. He’s also playing the saxophone and on a lesser note, the drums (in club only). He has had two performances there too and really enjoys it. Additionally, he is absolutely blowing us away with his academics. First quarter he made principal’s list and high honors. The real piece in this that is most impressive is that he is the one that is truly focused on his grades and determined. Grading is quite different than elementary school and he is just so invested.

Overall, it’s been a challenging rewarding sad happy crazy content time and it’s only just begun. Keep up the determination and willingness to try, Coley. It’s an absolute super power.
