It’s actually the cutest hobby he picked up and I love that it gets him outside and in some really pretty nature. He also got to go on the boat with his Uncle AJ and they both did pretty well there too.
We did some cool stuff around us; our annual Riverhead Raceway night, beaches, play dates with friends, and fishing. But we also had a few fun adventures too. We went to NYC for a few days. It poured, constant buckets of water, for the majority of our time there but we still had a great time. We saw Back to the Future on Broadway and we really liked it. Between raindrops, we visited some of our favorite spots and we just love the city. We also went to Cape May NJ. I do not know how we have never been there before. It was the absolute cutest and the boys keep asking to go back. We hung out at the beach and pool a bunch. We also spent many hours at the arcade. I have to mention that I got a lovely shell necklace and we brought home many bouncy balls as fruits of their labors. 🥰🤣 We also visited the zoo (rained there too), the lighthouse, and a former WW2 bunker. My favorite was getting to watch Jaws ON the beach at night on a big screen. They do it weekly but we were there just at the right time to see Jaws! It was so special! That town is just so pretty. The houses are beautiful and colorful and we’ll be back!
On our way back we went to the American Dream mall which is insane; it has a waterpark, amusement park, and snowboarding park INSIDE. It also has a billion stores and restaurants. Then we headed over to Medieval Times where Shea picked the winning knight! That place is always a good time. Yay Blue Knight! 💙
My mom and I had the opportunity to go back to The Lodge at Woodloch which has been my happy place for years now. We got to spend a few days relaxing in an absolutely gorgeous setting and it was nice to spend the time together.
We ended the month with the boys getting their school haircuts, some school shopping, and preparing our minds for the return to school.
