This was one of the nicest days we’ve all had in a while. I think the pressure of “what are we going to do?” being off the table really helped make the day relaxing and so nice.
We found this brunch crawl partially sponsored by a favorite place of ours, North Fork Donut Company. A few places joined together to create a really fun 1-stop brunch and because you couldn’t go out to eat, they put it all together for you to bring it home. I don’t remember all the names of the places, I only was familiar with the donut shop. But it was all good!
Collins picked it up first thing in the morning and we all shared. Here’s what was in it:
🌸 flowers
🍩 donuts
☕️ cold brew coffee
🍾 mimosa kit- champagne, oj, and strawberry syrup
🥑 avocado toast (I didn’t share that one)
🥕🥒 green juice (I DID share that one)
🥣 açaí bowls
🍹rum punch
It was enough for all of us and it was all good. (Except the green juices, those are just not my thing).
We played outside, it was beautiful out! We laid in bed and read books, we just relaxed. I didn’t do any dishes or anything! (That’s not to say they weren’t waiting for me the next morning all piled nicely in the sink BUT I didn’t do any on Mother’s Day!!)
I FaceTimed with my mom, sister, and brother bc all together and that was kinda cute too! I was able to visit my mom the day before and deliver one of the gifts my brother and I got her. It was nice to spend a little time together… on the driveway… but kinda together.
Collins also picked up dinner from my favorite place, Edgewater. Cole made these sweet sunflower cupcakes that he was so excited about. Nana sent him the idea and he was all about it.
The boys got me a new set of name rings and I love them too!
Hope you and yours had a beautiful Mother’s Day too. 💛🤍
